C.B. Hemans
C.B. Hemans is a playwright and director based in the North West of England, with experience across theatre, television, and advertising. Her portfolio includes six original stage productions in Glasgow’s West End, each exploring ambitious women navigating complex social landscapes.
Charlotte’s storytelling draws on textual and visual parallels between past and present, using historical settings to interrogate contemporary themes. With formal training in ballet, cheerleading, and figure skating, she brings a choreographic sensibility to her direction- crafting movement-driven theatre that merges physicality with narrative depth.
She is currently completing a Master’s in Writing for Performance at the University of Cambridge, where she is developing a screenplay based on the life of war correspondent Martha Gellhorn.
